For a while you have seen in the media the fight over ooxml. This was supposed to be a new *open* standard.. Various version were brought to the table but only one had the buying power. It was obvious that Microsoft was doing everything possible to sulli the vote. But ISO refused to see the problem(s) and that Microsoft was paying off people everywhere to get this approved. Lobbying is noting more than a "pay off" PERIOD.
